The Cadette Outdoor Journey is rich and exciting badge program as it covers a lot of essential outdoor skills. You will enjoy primitive camping in the Outpost Campsite, help clean up and create an outdoor educational trail, cook entire meals right over a campfire, then take part in a Service Project to give back to Camp Tongawood.

In this Cadette Outdoor Journey you will earn four badges: Night Owl, Trailblazing, Primitive Camper, & Take Action

In order to complete the entire Journey your Girl Scout will need to attend a pre-meeting via zoom.

Weekend Schedule (Subject to Change)

First Morning/Day

Food - Lunch

Activities – Service Project, Outdoor Skill Building Round-Up, Adventure Activity

First Night

Food - Dinner – Foil Dinners

Activities – Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag, Night Hike and Campfire

Sleeping – Tent Camping in the Flag Field (outdoors)

Second Morning

Food - Breakfast

Activities – Scouts Own, Clean-Up and Closing

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Refund Policy: • Cancelled by the Girl Scouts: The total fee is refunded if the event is cancelled by Girl Scout staff due to severe weather, staffing, or equipment issues. (Please note: all events are rain or shine. We only cancel for weather when our staff determines that the activity cannot be conducted safely.) • Cancellation by the group/camper more than 2 weeks out: If the troop or individual cancels more than 2 weeks prior to the event date, the fee will be refunded if a written request is received by campdept@gsksmo.org at least 2 weeks prior to the event date. • Cancellations by the group/camper less than 2 weeks out: If the troop or individual cancels less than 2 weeks prior to the event date, the fee will not be returned to the group or individual except in case of illness where a written refund request is accompanied by a statement from the attending physician.
