Camping 103 is a chance for you to take a deep dive into what it means to truly experience a Girl Scout Campout. This training includes two meals and an overnight.
- Review Outdoor Safety Activity Checkpoints and understand how to use them in activity planning for your camping trip.
- Introduction 3 alternative and more advanced cooking methods such as: skillet cooking, grilling, vagabond stoves, box ovens, stick cooking, propane stoves and MRE cooking.
- Learn how to set up a tent for camping in the outdoors and camp according to the elements. (Cold weather camping included!)
- Deep dive into Girl Scout Programming – Learn about outdoor journeys, Girl Scout traditions, and songs.
While this training is not required it is highly encouraged for those seeking to gain a better understanding, encouragement, and further comfort in camping outdoors.
