It is a fact: hitting the great outdoors is good for girls’ well-being. Our research shows that outdoor exposure increases girls’ challenge-seeking and problem-solving knowledge, drives their leadership development, improves their health overall, and offers them important opportunities to practice cooperation and teamwork and try new things. Come out to Camp Tongawood for a day of adventure; paddle in a canoe, shoot a slingshot, and climb a traverse wall. Let’s get outside!
Registration Requirements: All girls participating in this activity must be registered Girl Scout members. Each girl must attend with a parent or adult chaperone. This event requires a 1 to 1 ratio to participate.
Girls will NOT be able to participate if their name does not appear on the roster or if they are not accompanied with their own caregiver or approved and background checked adult.
Group Sizes - Group sizes for this day are restricted to 12-13 girls and 12-13 adults. Groups will be decided by registrations, if your troop registers together they will be put in the same group. If you register individually, you will be put into a group randomly. We do try our best to keep troops together, even if registered individually.
**Daisies will need to canoe with an approved background checked adult or their own caregiver. **
