History and government classes are required learning in our school systems. Wouldn’t it be great to take a day and actually live the events and objectives taught? Join us for a day of learning and experiences where we will take a deep dive into democracy and advocacy! Not only will we learn by watching history in real time, but we will be participating in it!
February 15th we will spend the day accomplishing the Your Voice, Your World: The Power of Advocacy Journey! We will travel by van to Missouri’s state capitol, Jefferson City, and spend a day meeting with elected and appointed officials in all three branches of state government. Girl Scouts will sit in the Gallery above the floor to have a bird’s eye view of democracy in action as legislation is in session. Girl Scouts will also have Page entry to record documented attendance in real time and become part of history!
We will have a pretravel Zoom meeting for information and journey pre-work on February 11th at 7pm. A link will be available in the registration confirmation email.
