It’s a fact: hitting the great outdoors is good for girls’ well-being. Our research shows that outdoor exposure increases girls’ challenge-seeking and problem-solving know-how, drives their leadership development, improves their health overall, and offers them important opportunities to practice cooperation and teamwork and try new things. Come out to Camp Tongawood for a day of adventure; play some fun games while canoeing, hiking the wetlands, and earn your Eco Camper Badge. We will end the day with lunch!
While earning the Eco Camper Badge Girl Scouts will find out how to protect the environment when going on a camping trip. When you’ve earned this Badge, you will have learned skills for minimal impact camping and know how to protect the environment when you are outdoors.
Junior Adventure Day Fun Patch, Eco Camper Badge and lunch included.
Lunch includes hot dog, chips, fruit, and dessert.
Registration Requirements: All girls participating in this activity must be registered Girl Scout members. **This is a DROP OFF event. Adults and troop leaders are not required to stay**
